Fuel Delivery Driver

Location
Friday through Monday with a 4:00 AM start time. This is a 4-day workweek, with Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday off each week. Drivers are home daily.
Schedule
Full-time local driving position. Wet-hose fuel delivery route, Class A or Class B Hazmat driver, home every night.

Pacific States Petroleum, Inc. (PSPI) is an on-site fueling company that serves customers in California and the Reno area. The company started in 2001 in Pleasant Hill with one fuel truck and has grown since then. PSPI is 100% employee owned, so drivers build ownership in the business while they work. The company says it only accepts applications directly from candidates and does not take resumes from outside recruiters, staffing agencies, or search firms.
Responsibilities
- Deliver diesel, unleaded fuel, and propane straight to customer sites using wet-hose fueling
- Fuel heavy equipment and generators on site
- Drive and operate bobtail tankers and semi-trucks following DOT, state, and federal rules
- Handle your own route and delivery paperwork electronically, including invoices and bills of lading
- Work with customers directly as the person representing the company on site
- Do routine checks on your truck, such as oil, water, and air
- Work with dispatch, the mechanics, and the Shop Supervisor to keep trucks in good running order
- Take on other related tasks as needed to support the team
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Hazardous Materials (Hazmat), Tanker, and Air Brakes endorsements
- Clean DMV driving record
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and handle the physical work of wet-hose delivery
- Able to read street and city maps and plan routes
- TWIC Card, either already held or obtained within 3 months of being hired, with help from the company
